How we work

The same six people, from kickoff to launch.

Brown Family Agency keeps design and engineering under one roof, so the person who sketches your homepage is also the one who reviews the code that ships it. Nothing gets diluted moving from a slide deck to a live site.

The people you will actually talk to

  • Priya Anand

    Priya Anand

    Founder & Design Director

Sketches every homepage herself before anyone on the team writes a line of code.

  • Marcus Webb

    Marcus Webb

    Founder & Engineering Director

Reviews every pull request himself, no matter how small the project.

  • Dana Okafor

    Dana Okafor

    Senior Front-End Engineer

Owns the accessibility checklist and will not let a page ship without a screen-reader pass.

  • Theo Lindqvist

    Theo Lindqvist

    Client Success Lead

The person who answers the phone when a client calls with a question, not a bot.

Our story

Two freelancers who kept getting hired together.

Here is the short version of how Brown Family Agency ended up with a studio instead of two separate invoices.

How it started

A designer and an engineer, hired for the same jobs

Brown Family Agency started as a pattern: a designer and an engineer who kept landing on the same freelance projects because clients did not want to manage a handoff between the two of them. We made the partnership official once the waitlist got longer than either of us could carry alone.

  • Founded in 2016, still privately owned
  • Every project staffed by someone who has shipped one like it before
  • No subcontracted design work and no offshored development

How we hold the line

We wrote our standards down so we cannot quietly skip them

Every project ships against the same checklist no matter the budget: real accessibility testing, a performance budget enforced in the build, and a second engineer reviewing the page before it goes live. Skipping a step moves the launch date, not the standard.

  • Accessibility checked with real assistive tech, not just an automated scanner
  • A second engineer reviews every page before it ships
  • Performance budgets enforced in the build, not promised in a proposal

What you can count on from us

  • One number, agreed up front

You approve a written scope and a flat price before we open an editor. If the work grows, we quote the change first, so the final invoice matches the one you signed.

  • Yours to keep at launch

You get the source files and a site your own team can actually edit, handed over on day one. The optional care plan keeps us on call, but it never locks you in.

  • A person, not a ticket queue

When something breaks, you reach the engineer who built the page, usually the same day. There is no support tier to climb and no bot to argue with.

Before you get in touch

You can read what a first call covers, send us a question or call the studio now.

Ready to talk

Bring us the problem, not just a redesign brief.

Most projects that reach us are not actually asking for a new logo. Tell us what is not working, and we will tell you honestly whether a website is the fix.

What a first call covers

We ask what is not working on your current site and what you want a new one to do.

We tell you whether a new website is the right fix.

You do not need a brief to book one.
